Submitted by admin on Monday, 11 January 2010No Comment

For the manufacturers website & blog based php & mysql (database), content management system (CMS) is required to build a website, starting from simple websites tocomplex up to the size of a single professional.

In this world, there are a paid CMS and CMS is that there are open source, meaning free to see, use, modify, etc. but still list the original source cms, and to remember again that open source IS NOT ALWAYS FREE, if there are still those who say open source is free should be given another explanation. But reportedly ya someday open source will actually be free, I hope yach .. lol

Below are the names of world famous cms that is open source, that is Blogspot, WordPress, Drupal, Mambo and Joomla one. For some people who entered the world or the world of web design bloggers sometimes difficult to determine to use a cms which, what the pros and cons and so on. Now this time try a little, we give some comparisons between the world’s great cms, may help …

- The default does not support the SEF, but there are components that support both free and pay, but it needs some optimization in order to support the SEF.
- Sometimes pluggins have obtained a bug or error.
- Sometimes there is a discrepancy between the CMS and pluggin.

So choose which one?
Every cms above have their own strengths and weaknesses, but I try to match between CMS and its users. Here cms and function according to their suitability me:

Blogspot
- Try, try the blogger, CMS & website design (especially the layout).
- Create a simple website for a particular purpose.
- Creating back links to a site.

WordPress
- Try, try the blogger, CMS & website design (especially the layout) with a more professional appearance.
- Facility to create.
- Create a simple website for a particular purpose.
- Creating back links to a site.

Drupal
- Create a professional website.
- Train yourself to use open source cms professional.

Mambo
- Create a professional website.
- Train yourself to use open source cms professional.
- Introduction to Mambo Joomla as the origin.

Drupal
- Create a professional website.
- Train yourself to use open source cms professional.

Unique of the discussion is between Mambo & Joomla, yep there was initially only used Mambo, and there is a conflict between the developer Mambo. Some suggested that Mambo made the company or manufacturer and the idea was opposed by other developers because the company / factory is a violation of the open source code, so developers since it does not agree to any company / factory split from Mambo and Joomla called make cms . So that the CMS Joomla 1.xx is almost similar to Mambo, it was sometimes found in pluggin Mambo can be used by Joomla and vice versa. However, lately Joomla created a new version is 1.5 (release version, but still candidate (rc) aka not officially) a lot of different Mambo cms, so that their plugin can no longer wear exchanged between Mambo & Joomla …: D

I personally first learned about the CMS Joomla CMS, but at that time I use Mambo for making my site. But its effects are felt later when I was looking for pluggin-pluggin for Mambo, yep quite limited and difficult because most their pluggin created for Joomla only. So I switched to Joomla and this website is the result of my first work using Joomla.

Return to CMS on the issue, which is good CMS you use is dependent on your interests and needs, each CMS has their own advantages and weaknesses, BUT that does not mean the weaknesses of the above is absolute, because I could have one day in cms-cms above evolve into a better CMS. Such example is the Joomla SEF problems, first I was afraid to use Joomla and had turned into WordPress, but ultimately did support the SEF and Joomla website was finally able to support the SEF (I use OpenSEF), so that I still exist in Joomla (for discussion of SEF can you search on Google) Laughing.

At the end of this article I suggest that you are looking for more comparisons between the CMS with one another, for example, by using Google’s search engine tool.
